Foam Cushions
The Vita Group cushion portfolio includes headrest, backrest, bottom cushions as well as special designs. Different selection of shapes and materials ensure the perfect seating position and allows great freedom of design, function and comfort range. Depending on your needs, our portfolio offers products with the focus on maximum performance in terms of flame retardancy for selected projects, but also products with focus on good value for the majority of rail seating application.
Metzo Superfoams
- The product focus is on maximum performance in terms of flame retardancy for selected projects.
- Metzo Super Foams are more cost-efficient as you no longer need an intensive fire blocker.
- Available either as moulded foam (HM06) or slabstock foam (SF01) as well as cut foams and foam cores for mattresses.
Metzo Performance Foams
- EcoProtect Suitable for the majority of rail seating applications. Application include headrest, backrest and seating cushions.
- The product is a melting melamine PU foam grade which is especially developed to fulfil almost every requirement of EN45545-2 / EN16989.
- Available as moulded foam, which allows great freedom of design, function and comfort range.
Mattresses & Cover Parts
The Vita Group supplies high quality mattresses and cover parts for both day and night trains. Our products can be adapted to any design and mattresses can be optionally equipped with Vita´s toppers which increases comfort and enables optimal sleep hygiene. We also offer integrated solutions e.g. customised foam areas and channels for increased comfort and sleeping climate. Our mattresses and cover parts are compliant with EN45545-2 (HL 1- 3) / EN16989 and BS 6853 cat 1b / BS 5852 crib 7.

Armrests
Vita also offers armrests for railway seats. The armrests are especially designed for ready-to-install applications with the focus on design, feel and durability. The freedom of design allows almost every design to be achieved. Additional use of fabric is no longer needed. Our armrests are compliant with EN45545-2.
Metzo Design Foams
- MetzoGral EN offers bespoke and comfortable ready-to-install armrest applications without the need for additional use of fabric.
- MetzoGral EN is an injected moulded foam grade which is compliant with EN45545-2.
- Can be used for seat pan in trams or metros.
- Vita fulfils almost every design including the integration of metal or wooden inserts, as well as painted versions.
Dress Covers & Upholstery
The Vita Group offers cushions and dress covers for railway seats, mattresses, and cover parts including cut and sew of fabric, leatherette and leather as well as padding, stitching, embossing and edging. Vita offers a comprehensive service which includes joint prototype workshops, selection of suitable materials, initial sampling and tool construction to reliable series production.
Insulation
The Vita Group insulation offering includes foams for acoustic and thermal applications. The high mass of 85 kg/m3 helps to reduce vibration in metal enclosures dampening drumming and noise. Acoustic performance is good and absorption coefficients are typical for a cellular material. Our insulation offering is compliant with strict underground rail seating requirements as well as BS6853 and EN45545-2.
PYROSORB-E
- PYROSORB-E is an open celled acoustic thermal polyurethane foam.
- High mass of 85 kg/m3 helps to reduce vibration in metal enclosures dampening drumming and noise.
