The Vita Group wishes all colleagues and customers Ramadan Mubarak. Ramadan officially started last weekend and is a time when millions of Muslims across the world fast, practising self-restraint and taking time for personal reflection.

This year, the holy month of Ramadan began on Saturday, April 2, and lasts about a month, the dates are based on the sighting of the moon.

During the month, Muslims will be fasting, reflecting, praying, and contributing to their community. Fasting usually lasts from dawn to sunset and it allows Muslims to devote themselves to their faith. It teaches self-discipline and reminds them of the suffering of those less fortunate, including many people in the world that are dying of hunger and thirst.

It also entails refraining from using profane or bad language for the duration of the fast. During Ramadan, it is common to have one meal just before dawn and another directly after sunset. This means that no food or drinks are consumed during the working day, including water.

Ramadan ends with the great festival of Eid, with the solemn conclusion of the fast. The celebration of this holiday is slightly different in individual Muslim countries.

As a multinational and multicultural company, we are supporting our colleagues who will be observing the fast.

From everyone at The Vita Group Ramadan Kareem.
