The Vita Group has had three members of its team named in The Manufacturer Top 100, a comprehensive list of the most dynamic leaders and innovators in manufacturing.

The winners were selected by an esteemed judging panel featuring leaders of the industry, academic institutions and manufacturing associations and were announced during a ceremony at Digital Manufacturing Week, held at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre.

Stuart Roby – Managing Director, of The Vita Group’s Technical division – and Gilbert Davids – Managing Director of Vita Comfort were both recognised in the Inspiring Leader category.

Stuart was honoured for his leadership that has seen a strong commitment to the company’s key principles and values, such as innovation, sustainability and putting the health and wellbeing of Vita’s people first.

Likewise, Gilbert was celebrated for his role in the development and success of Vita’s Comfort division. Two new Comfort businesses have been acquired over recent years, with Vita Comfort achieving record sales, diversifying products and developing new, more sustainable product ranges under his stewardship.

Simon Higginbottom – Production Supervisor at the Vita Dukinfield site – was honoured in the Young Pioneer category. Simon has made a significant and tangible impact on how Vita operates and the processes the business employs. His seamless implementation of technological solutions to enhance the day-to-day processes of Vita’s Dukinfield site means that the new processes are now second nature to its employees

The Manufacturer Top 100 is part of Digital Manufacturing Week, an annual celebration of UK manufacturing that brings together technology, finance and advanced manufacturing.

Ian Robb, CEO of The Vita Group said: “I’d like to congratulate my colleagues on their significant achievement in being named in The Manufacturer 100. A key principle of Vita is empowering individuals to show leadership that drives forward innovation, improves safety and helps make us a more competitive business. Gilbert, Stuart and Simon all exemplify this approach – we’re proud to have them on our team, and they are fully deserving of this accolade.”
